iMultiply are exclusively partnering with a well-known business to recruit a permanent Accounts Supervisor position based closed to the Gyle in Edinburgh.

The Position

The Accounts Supervisor role is a newly created vacancy to provide freedom to the Financial Controller so they can get involved with a number of high value and business critical projects. The role will supervisor a talented and dedicated transactional finance team whilst providing hands on support to the Senior Accountant and Financial Controller with month-end, year-end, VAT returns & cashflow analysis.

On Offer

The role of Accounts Supervisor will offer a salary of upto £30,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The office premises are based very close to the Gyle in Edinburgh with parking facilitates available on-site or easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Supervising a team of several Accounts Assistants including personal development & appraisals
  • Managing month end close from start to finish including journals, prepayments, accruals, intercompany reconciliations and fixed-asset maintenance
  • Monthly VAT returns
  • Assisting with preparation of cashflows & analysis
  • Overseeing the purchase ledger function
  • Overseeing the sales ledgers function
  • Overseeing the credit control function
  • Overseeing banking and cash transactions
  • Overseeing the payroll function
  • Overseeing petty cash and bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with external stakeholders – HMRC, Auditors etc.
  • Assisting with ERP system developments
  • Adhoc financial analysis
  • Adhoc duties

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Supervisory or managerial experience of transactional processing – ESSENTIAL
  • Exposure to a high volume & fast paced environment would be advantageous
  • Exposure to VAT returns and cashflows would be advantageous however not essential as training can be provided by the Financial Controller & Senior Accountant
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
