A Finance Assistant position has arisen on a permanent basis within a not-for-profit organisation in Edinburgh.

The Role

The successful candidate will have experience in processing high volumes of invoices on a daily basis and all associated finance functions. Ideally, you will have been exposed to a fast paced environment and be able to perform the role in an autonomous fashion.

On Offer

The position of Accounts Payable Clerk has arisen based in Edinburgh paying a salary of between £19,000 - £20,000 with parking available on site.  

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Processing of invoices
  • Matching, coding and batching of invoices
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Liaising with suppliers via phone, email and letter
  • Financial administration
  • Dealing with petty cash
  • Supporting the wider finance function with month end
  • Ensuring compliance with processes, procedures and financial controls

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • A minimum of 12 months accountancy & finance experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience of working in a high volume, fast-paced accounts department
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Strong attention to detail
