iMultiply are working with an established accountancy practice to source an Accounts Payable Clerk on a permanent, full-time basis. The company is based in the centre of Belfast, 5 minutes’ walk from a major train station.

 

The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, degree qualified individual with a minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role. This is a great opportunity to develop your finance career within a fast-paced organisation with global reach.   

 

Responsibilities include;

  • Receiving, processing and reconciling invoices
  • Scheduling and preparing payment runs, resolving purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies
  • Maintaining records by scanning invoices and uploading to ERP system
  • Ensuring invoices are processed using the correct VAT rate
  • Charging expenses to the appropriate accounts and cost centres
  • Matching and allocating bank transactions
  • Processing journals
  • Keeping an up to date record of documentation for audit trails
  • Developing and maintaining procedural documentation
  • Maximising the use of automation focussing on reducing the reliance on paper trails through utilising technology

 

Essential criteria;

  • At least two years’ experience in an Accounts Payable role
  • Graduate level university degree
  • Excellent organisation skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively
  • Capable of task management, problem identification and resolution
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal with good interpersonal skills
  • Keen interest in automation and using technology to best position the unit for future growth and reduce duplication and waste
  • Previous shared service experience is desirable but not essential
