Position Title:                Accounts Payable Analyst (6 Month FTC)

Responsible to:            Accounts Payable Team Leader 

Job Purpose

The main purpose of the role is to:-

  • Provide support to the accounts payable team during a busy time 
  • Process high volumes of purchase invoices through SAP business software 
  • Liaise with colleagues in Accounts Payable in order to efficiently resolve any supplier queries or concerns 
  • Perform all ad hoc account payable duties as required

  • Opening and distributing finance mail
  • Checking Supplier Invoices and assessing SAP status 
  • Processing PO Invoices and credit notes on SAP (MIRO transactions)
  • Liaising with Purchasing to highlight quantity/price discrepancies 
  • Logging non-PO invoices and credit notes on SAP (FV60 transactions) and distributing for authorisation
  • Coding processing authorised non-PO invoices on SAP 
  • Processing Taxi and Courier invoices as required 
  • Dealing with phone queries and overdue letters 
  • Chasing invoices not yet returned 
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Preparing and processing supplier payment runs as required 
  • Process Credit Card Expenses 
  • Processing Bank Clearing Transactions 


  • Experience of invoice processing in a busy Finance office together with experience of using integrated finance software such as SAP
  • Ability to work without direct supervision, and the persistence to see a job through to conclusion 
  • An analytical, questioning approach which will allow you to exert a high level of quality control 
  • A methodical, routine orientated and co-operative outlook
