The Role:

The position of Accounts Manager is on a fixed term contract basis to cover Maternity leave and is likely to last between 9-12 months. It requires a self-starting, confident & proactive individual.

On Offer:

The role of Accounts Manager will offer a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 plus a competitive benefits package. The companies’ offices are based in Edinburgh city centre and easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • You will be responsible for client accounts function and the line management of this team.
  • You will ensure that daily processing of all client account transactions is carried out with a high level of accuracy and efficiency using the fullest extent of system automation.
  • Assisting with management accounts for subsidiary businesses.
  • Management Reporting - You will assist the department Director, in conjunction with the accounts department, in the preparation of detailed monthly fee income reports, management accounts and variance analysis (prior period and/or budget) for each branch along with a consolidated position.
  • Portfolio Performance Reporting - You will work closely with the department Director and Senior Portfolio Managers to build and further develop robust and effective management reporting systems with analysis of financial, operational and portfolio KPIs which will be used to drive the performance of the individual portfolios, desks and branches.
  • Asset Management Reporting - You will be responsible for the delivery of key aspects of this service offering including the provision of detailed asset performance statements, investment appraisals and portfolio yield analysis for both our Portfolio Managers and their clients.
  • Assisting with the production of bank compliance/covenant reporting and cash flow forecasting.
  • Preparing budget and forecasts. Analysing and providing commentary on variances.
  • Proactively seeking out opportunities for process improvement.

To be considered for this opportunity you must have the following experience:

  • Part Qualified Accountant or qualified by experience
  • Exposure to Accountancy Practice or Previous knowledge of client accounting.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Intermediate to advanced user of Excel
