iMultiply are delighted to be exclusively engaged on the exciting position of Accounts Assistant with a thriving business based in the centre of Edinburgh. The opportunity will pay a salary of £22,000 - £24,000 and will offer ample progression opportunities.

The Role

The role will report directly to the Management Accountant and will play a key role in month-end. Initially, the successful candidate will be expected to get to grips with the accounts payable side of the ledger - processing invoices, dealing with suppliers and other ad hoc duties. Following this, the successful candidate will then be getting involved with more advanced task such as bank reconciliations, journals, accruals, pre-payment and assisting with the preparation of management accounts. 

The successful candidate will be well-versed in accounts payable and will have a great attitude. Moreover, the candidate will have an ambition and an aptitude for picking up new tasks; as well as being able to operate Microsoft Excel to a high level i.e. pivot tables, vlookups etc. 

On Offer

The role of Accounts Assistant will pay a salary of £22,000 - £24,000 as well as providing ample progression opportunities. The role also offers an excellent benefits package; and the offices are easily accessible via public transport. 

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Report directly to the Management Accountant
  • Purchase Ledger processing
  • Dealing with supplier queries and concerns
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Assisting with month end tasks – journals, accruals and pre-payments
  • Analysing and improving current processes
  • Other ad hoc finance duties

To be considered for this role you must:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years finance related experience
  • Be well-versed in operating accounting/finance software
  • Have excellent relationship building skills and be able to communicate effectively with both internally and externally stakeholders
  • Have excellent Microsoft Excel skills i.e. pivot tables, vlookups etc.
