iMultiply are delighted to be assisting a non-for-profit organisation with the appointment of a permanent Accounts Assistant based in Edinburgh city centre, offering a salary of £20,000 - £22,000 per annum.

The Role 

The position of Accounts Assistant will report to the Senior Accountant and shall maintain all aspects of transactional finance as well assisting with month-end and year-end duties. The successful candidate will be well-versed in accounting software(s) and will have strong practical finance experience.

On Offer

The position of Accounts Assistant will offer a salary of £20,000 - £22,000 plus an excellent benefits package. The office is based in Edinburgh and easily accessed via public transport. The role offers flexible working and the office is closed over the festive period, along with other benefits. 

In this role candidate’s duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to the following: 

  • Report in to the Senior Accountant and provide support as required
  • Manage purchase and sales ledger
  • Bank reconciliations 
  • Assist with the production of month-end/year-end reports
  • Assisting with weekly/monthly payroll
  • Liaise with a number of different entities within the organisation to deal with any financial claims and/or any other queries
  • Managing Cash Flow and Petty Cash
  • Other Ad hoc duties 

To be considered for this oppurtunity you must:

  • Have a minimum of 1 years practical accounting experience 
  • Have experience in the use of accounting software(s)
  • Show excellent verbal and written communication skills 
  • Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
