iMultiply are delighted to engaged on the position of Accounts & Tax Senior with a small but well-known Accountancy Practice based in Edinburgh.

The Company

An Accountancy Practice that can easily differentiate themselves from the competition due to its unique approach and Senior Management experience.  This well-established Practice adopts a proactive approach where the priority is not just about speaking to clients when accounts or deadlines are due but providing an advisory service to increase efficiency, be cost effective and improve the bottom line all year round. Furthermore the majority of the Senior Management team not only have extensive Practice experience but have sat in Senior Finance positions within various industry sectors.

The Role

To be considered for this position you must have experience of working within an Accountancy Practice/Firm and ideally be a qualified Accountant however finalists will also be considered. We are seeking a driven and ambitious candidate who is keen to progress & develop with the potential of achieving partnership level a realistic possibility.

On Offer

The position of Accounts & Tax Senioris based in Edinburgh city centre and will pay a highly competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 plus a benefits package including pension.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Managing a small team of Trainee Accountants including delegation/reviewing of work, appraisals and creating of personal development plans
  • Managing a large portfolio of clients from various sectors including retail, manufacturing, technology, oil & gas, media, event management, etc.
  • Planning and reviewing of accounts preparation for sole traders, ltd companies and partnerships
  • Planning and reviewing of monthly and quarterly management accounts
  • Corporation tax returns, including R&D Tax Relief claims
  • Providing a full business advisory service including profit forecasting, business planning etc.
  • Tax Advisory
  • Allocation of workflow and monitoring of all billing
  • Attending networking and business development opportunities to increase brand awareness
  • Adhoc duties

Experience required:

  • Qualified Accountant – ICAS/ACCA however finalist level will also be considered
  • Previous Accountancy Practice/Firm experience – ESSENTIAL
  • Sage experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Supervisory or people management experience would be highly advantageous
  • Highly professional with ability to liaise and build relationships with internal & external stakeholders
