A Qualified Accountant is required by a not-for-profit organisation based in the West of Scotland


The Company

This large, not-for-profit organisation have been going through a period of continued growth for a number of years now and the require dynamic and forward-thinking individuals to join the existing team.


The Role

As an experienced and suitably qualified accountant, you will assist the Senior Management team in maintaining a robust and transparent finance function. You will be a key point of contact within the team so you must be comfortable dealing with external stakeholders as well as Board members, senior management etc.



  • Assist the Financial Controller with the day-to-day management of the finance function, deputizing as required
  • Responsibility for the production of Management Accounts and reporting to management
  • Provide analysis of costs and make recommendations for savings
  • Assist with the management of the month/year end financial reporting procedures
  • Provide training to junior members of the team
  • Ensure compliance with strict regulations


On Offer

This role comes with a salary of £36000-£43000, depending on experience, as well as excellent benefits.


To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:

  • You MUST be a professionally qualified accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA, CIPFA)
  • Hands-on experience of a similar role is essential, ideally within local government, charities, housing associations etc
  • Demonstrable experience of maintaining collaborative relationships across different departments
  • First class IT skills are required, particularly Microsoft Excel
  • You will be a confident communicator who can liaise effectively at all levels, especially when presenting complex financial information
