iMultiply Resourcing opens Executive Search division
Monday 01 Feb 2016

Recruitment agency iMultiply Resourcing has launched a new Executive Search division, responding to growing demand for quality candidates across the C-Suite, including Managing Director, Finance Director and Chief Operations officer roles.

The company, which made its name in finance and accountancy recruitment, said the division will be led by Executive Search Director Arturo Carbonell, himself an experienced finance professional.

Managing Director Kirsty Mackenzie said iMultiply will bring to executive search the same fresh approach that has let it carve a strong market position in finance and accountancy recruitment. iMultiply was the first recruitment company in Scotland to link staff bonuses directly to customer satisfaction.

"Executive search is one of the more conservative parts of the recruitment industry: methods and approaches to finding top management haven’t changed much in several decades," Mackenzie said. "We think companies and candidates will appreciate the differences iMultiply brings to executive search: a relentless focus on customer satisfaction; a commitment to transparency; and a strong network."

Glasgow office to double headcount by 2017

iMultiply Resourcing Executive Search will operate from the company's Edinburgh headquarters and from its growing Glasgow office, which opened in 2015. Mackenzie said she aims to double the current size of the company’s Glasgow office to six full-time staff by the start of 2017. "The market in Glasgow has responded well to us and the way we approach recruitment. Our growth in Glasgow has been fuelled by the sectors we know best: entrepreneurial, innovative, high-growth companies, as well as not-for-profit organisations.”

iMultiply, which is in its third year of operations, has seen robust growth since its inception, achieving a 100% growth in revenue between its first and second years. The company also opened a division focused on temporary staff in 2013. The move to executive search is a natural extension of its business, Mackenzie said, and reflects the maturity of its own client base of high-growth companies, who now need candidates across leadership and senior management roles.

“We understand the companies who entrust us with finding key team members for them, because our own business has grown alongside theirs. The excitement of running a fast-growing company also comes with challenges, especially the challenge of finding and hiring the very best people. Our link with the investment firm Par Equity, through our board member Paul Atkinson, means we’re closely aligned with vibrant entrepreneurial businesses in Scotland. We think companies like these will welcome executive search services from a recruitment agency whose values align with their own: innovation and creativity.”

In addition to heading iMultiply’s Executive Search team, Arturo Carbonell has also been named to the iMultiply board and takes on the role as Finance Director with the company. In another addition to the leadership team, iMultiply Senior Manager John Gilbertson, who has been with the company since 2013, has been promoted to Director and will also be joining the Board.
